The Motodori Zeitax is a vintage Japanese medium format folding camera model built in the 1940's. Resembling the German-made Baldax camera by Balda, the Zeitax is designed to use 120 film to produce 6x4.5cm images. The camera features a body shutter release to the left of the viewfinder. The camera has a three element Zeitax Anastigmat 75mm f3.5 lens set in a leaf shutter. There were a couple different versions of the Zeitax produced with the largest difference being the style of finder. Early versions used a metal tubular finder while the later 1941 Zeitax has a folding optical finder. The early version of the Zeitax had a top shutter speed of 1/200 with the later version having a faster 1/300.
This is the early 1940 version of the Zeitax with tubular viewfinder and 1/200 top shutter speed.
